Training
Training combines theatre technology coursework with fully mounted production experience
Students rotate through costumer, master carpenter, shop foreman, master electrician, stage manager, sound technician, properties master, costume master, and assistant technical director roles
Students normally work on four to eight major departmental productions as technicians
Production work is scheduled to finish no later than 11 p.m., with specific called weekend times as needed
Professional Development
Senior thesis centers on a final production project supervised by technology faculty
Students present portfolio and interview at two or more professional or graduate events such as NCTC, SETC, USITT, URTA, MFA design/technology programs, or professional companies
