Theatre Scholarship
•Bullet: Submit scholarship application via Acceptd by March 1 for full consideration
•Bullet: Rolling deadline — applications accepted until August 1 if funds remain
•Bullet: In-person scholarship audition: first Saturday in March at 1 PM in Studio Theater
Audition Materials
•Bullet: Upload your video audition featuring 1 slate (this should be done at the top of the audition for both pieces and should include your name and the title information for each piece) and 2 contrasting monologues that does not exceed 2 minutes in total length (about minute per monologue is advised and save time for your slate).
•Bullet: Avoid classical texts: try to find two pieces that contrast your talent, type, and craft.
Additional Materials
•Bullet: Upload a letter of intent. The letter should include: a discussion of your intent to study theatre at NAU; a summary of your financial need (tuition-based scholarships and/or cash-based scholarships)
•Bullet: Upload your resume
•Bullet: Upload a photo (this can be a headshot, but it doesn’t have to be: it must be a tight shot from the shoulders up)
•Bullet: Three letters of reference: Instruct your references to email their letter on letterhead with a coversheet with the following information: "Reference Letter for APPLICANT'S NAME NAU Scholarships 2025-2026 REFERENCE'S NAME, INSTITUTION"
•Bullet: Official Transcript(s) and Completed FERPA Form
•Bullet: The three letters of reference, official transcript(s) and FERPA form must be mailed to NAU Theatre, Attention Scholarship Committee Chair, PO Box 6040, Flagstaff, AZ 86011-6040
