Audition Process
•Scholarship audition/interview only - not required for program admission
•In-person Theatre Spotlight Day preferred; virtual audition or portfolio review available if unable to attend
•Choose an acting audition, Directing/Playwriting interview, Design/Technology/Stage Management portfolio review, or a combination
Acting Audition
•Two contrasting monologues, memorized, totaling no more than 4 minutes (read the plays the monologues are from; avoid accents)
•OR one monologue and one song (32 bars) from musical theatre repertoire
•Recorded accompaniment required for in-person audition (music on your phone)
Directing or Playwriting Interview
•Prepare a resume
•Optional portfolio materials: playwriting samples, prompt books, production photos, or production materials
•May also perform an acting audition in addition to the interview
Design, Technology & Stage Management Interview
•Portfolio materials welcome but not required (drawings, renderings, production photos, or creative projects)
•May combine a design interview with an acting or directing audition
Virtual Submissions
•Upload theatre resume through the Virtual Audition Form
•Video or portfolio links must be viewable through YouTube, Google Drive, or another hosting service
Spotlight Day
•Take sample classes with faculty
•Meet current students and tour Theatre and Dance facilities
•Audition or interview for talent scholarship consideration
