Scholarship audition registration/submission is handled through Muhlenberg Admissions, not Acceptd or SlideRoom

Important Notes

Talent scholarship auditions do not replace an Admissions interview - schedule both separately if desired

Students do not need to major in dance to be considered for a scholarship

Audition timelines may differ for transfer students

High school juniors are encouraged to wait until senior year to audition

Transfer Pathway

Muhlenberg publishes community-college transfer pathways for AA/AS graduates into its bachelor's programs. Transfer coursework is reviewed through Muhlenberg's transfer-credit process for applicability to the BA Dance (Performance) concentration.

Audition Process

Scholarship audition only - not required for program admission

In-person Dance Spotlight Day preferred; virtual solo submission available if unable to attend

Select Dance from the Virtual Audition Form and choose Video audition

Upload solo video to YouTube, Google Drive, or another video service with public viewing permissions

Upload photo and dance resume through the same form

Attire

Appropriate dance attire

No pointe shoes required

Tap shoes optional

Spotlight Day

Take a technique class in ballet, modern, tap, or jazz

Talk with current students and faculty

Tour Theatre and Dance studios and performance spaces

Perform an audition solo for talent scholarship consideration
