•MPAA will select one song to hear at the audition

•Cut each song to no longer than 2 minutes

•Bring taped, clearly readable sheet music

•Submit one musical theatre song of your choice, no longer than 2 minutes

Monologues

In-Person Audition

•Prepare one classic or contemporary monologue

Online Audition

•Submit one monologue, no longer than 2 minutes

Dance

In-Person Audition

•Prepare one solo dance in a style of your choice

•Maximum 1 minute 30 seconds

•Choose material that demonstrates your areas of strength

•The audition day also includes Ballet and Jazz classes

•Submit one dance piece, no longer than 1 minute 30 seconds

•Open to home students only; applicants need a UK passport or UK settled status

•Students must be 18 or older at entry and eligible to begin a BA (Hons) degree

•Required additional course fee: £1,750 per year, paid directly to MPAA for 2026/27

•Optional Dance Teacher Training add-on: £3,000 per year

•University of West London tuition is £10,050 per year for 2026/27; eligible students may apply for a Fees Loan and Maintenance Loan

Audition Process

•Choose a full in-person audition day or an online audition

•The in-person day includes Ballet and Jazz classes, prepared performances, and an interview

Audition Expectations

•MPAA selects one of the two prepared songs to hear in person

•Film the online pieces in landscape orientation and send them via WeTransfer

•After the application and audition fee are received, MPAA sends online applicants a short dance routine to learn

•An individual online interview follows the recorded submission
