Audition Process
•No prescreen listed for program admission
•Music scholarships are awarded through an audition before MVNU music faculty; all prospective music majors should audition for consideration
•Audition in your major applied area: voice, keyboard, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, organ, guitar, or composition
•Prepare two selections or movements from different style periods; instrumentalists may prepare one substantial selection if it shows both lyrical and technical work
•Vocalists are encouraged to choose Classical, Broadway, or Worship selections; guitar and percussion guidance is published on the scholarship page
•In-person audition dates and recorded auditions are accepted; YouTube is the preferred method for recorded submissions
•Recorded auditions are due Dec. 10, 2026 for fall consideration or Feb. 18, 2027 for spring consideration
