•Students create original choreographic work through solo and group capstone projects

•Spelman Dance Theatre — department performance company featuring original works by faculty and graduating seniors
•Students may also create and present their own original works mentored by faculty
•Dance Artist Incubation Residency brings visiting artists who push boundaries in creative practice

•Joint program between Morehouse College and Spelman College through the Atlanta University Center consortium
•Curriculum centers on the choreographic process through Black feminist theories, contemporary dance, and interdisciplinary collaboration
