Songs
TWO CONTRASTING SONGS, 60-90 seconds each:
•One BALLAD
•One UPTEMPO
•At least one song MUST be from a musical written after 1970
•Live accompanist provided for on-campus auditions
•Virtual/digital: provide your own accompaniment
Monologues
LIVE/VIRTUAL AUDITION:
•One contemporary (1945-present) monologue from published full-length play or film script
•Maximum 2 minutes
•Cannot be from a musical
DIGITAL SUBMISSION:
•TWO contrasting contemporary (1945-present) monologues
•Same requirements as above
Dance
GROUP DANCE CALL (on-campus and virtual auditions only)
•Morning group dance audition — scheduled automatically after registering for monologue/voice slot
•Two dance calls available: 10am and 11am EST
•Dance is not required for digital submissions

•You will not receive a theatre decision until admitted to the college academically
•MT applicants are automatically evaluated for BFA Acting as well
•Digital submissions accepted January 5 through March 15, 2026 — no late submissions

•Automatic consideration for BFA Acting at MT audition
AUDITION OPTIONS
•On-Campus: live audition at MMC campus in NYC — must attend full day (no leaving early)
-Morning group dance call + afternoon monologue/voice audition
-Dance call times: 10am or 11am EST (assigned by MMC after registration)
•Virtual: live via Acceptd/Zoom — $30 registration fee
-Morning dance call + afternoon monologue/voice audition
•Digital Submission: pre-recorded materials uploaded through MMC portal (Jan 5 – Mar 15)
-No dance component for digital submissions
IMPORTANT
•MMC does NOT participate in Unifieds
•All audition options afford equal opportunity for admission
•All final decisions by April 15
