Audition Process
•Select an audition date via the audition form
•Department will confirm the date with you
•Audition time confirmed one week in advance
•Email auditions@mssu.edu to notify of intent to audition virtually
•Record on phone or computer with camera at eye level
•Upload to YouTube as unlisted
•Send the link to auditions@mssu.edu
Audition Expectations
•Theatre applicants prepare one monologue from a modern, published play
•Choose material that shows your ability, range, and performing skills
•Dress professionally and comfortably
•Before performing, slate with your name and selection; for theatre pieces include character name, play title, and playwright
•Do not include a synopsis, character description, or theme discussion in the slate
