Music Scholarship Audition Days
•MSUM hosts two music scholarship audition days in 2027
•Friday, December 4, 2026: Open only to Honors College Scholarship applicants
•Thursday, January 21, 2027: Music Scholarship Day, open to all applicants
•Full-day activities may include ensemble participation, class observation, campus tours, and faculty meetings
Audition Options
•Live on-campus audition preferred
•Private 1:1 scholarship auditions can be scheduled with the School of Performing Arts
•YouTube video auditions accepted if submitted before March 1
Performance Requirements
•Incoming freshman/transfer scholarship applicants may perform 4-8 minutes of representative compositions
•Applicants for specific instrumental/vocal area or commercial music scholarships should prepare appropriate audition material as advised by faculty
•Accompanied performances are desirable but not required for freshman scholarships
Eligibility
•Music majors, minors, and non-majors may be eligible depending on the award
•Required ensemble participation in the awarded instrument/vocal area
