Music Scholarship Audition Days
•Bullet: MSUM hosts two music scholarship audition days in 2027
•Bullet: Friday, December 4, 2026: Open only to Honors College Scholarship applicants
•Bullet: Thursday, January 21, 2027: Music Scholarship Day, open to all applicants
•Bullet: Full-day activities may include ensemble participation, class observation, campus tours, and faculty meetings
Audition Options
•Bullet: Live on-campus audition preferred
•Bullet: Private 1:1 scholarship auditions can be scheduled with the School of Performing Arts
•Bullet: YouTube video auditions accepted if submitted before March 1
Performance Requirements
•Bullet: Incoming freshman/transfer scholarship applicants may perform 4-8 minutes of representative compositions
•Bullet: Applicants for specific instrumental/vocal area or commercial music scholarships should prepare appropriate audition material as advised by faculty
•Bullet: Accompanied performances are desirable but not required for freshman scholarships
Eligibility
•Bullet: Music majors, minors, and non-majors may be eligible depending on the award
•Bullet: Required ensemble participation in the awarded instrument/vocal area
