Training
•The 75-credit Musical Theatre emphasis integrates acting with Music Skills for Theatre I-II, eight semesters of private voice, Musical Theatre Acting I-II, theatre speech, stage dialects, and advanced scene study
•Required dance study includes jazz, ballet, and tap, with additional choices in contemporary dance, dance partnering, or higher-level technique
•The shared BFA core adds directing, play analysis, theatre history, dramaturgy, and global performance perspectives to the singing-actor sequence
Performance & Productions
•Students complete four credits of acting practicum and three credits of Summer Stock, applying vocal, acting, and movement training in realized productions
•Theatre activity credits must span at least three areas, creating experience beyond performance in production and management work
Professional Development
•Careers in Theatre pairs with sustained private-voice study and advanced acting coursework to support preparation for professional musical-theatre work
