Training & Productions
•Choose an emphasis in acting, directing, or technical theater skills
•Participate in three faculty-directed mainstage productions each year
•Perform on three campus stages: proscenium, thrust, and black box
•Collaborate with faculty, community members, and artists-in-residence
•Complete a capstone project integrating performance and technical work
•Learn from faculty with advanced degrees and active professional theatre experience
•Small program size supports close faculty mentorship
Location
•Study in downtown Minneapolis near the Guthrie Theater and other professional stages
Transfer Pathway
•Complete a 60-credit AFA designed for transfer to designated Minnesota State Theatre Arts bachelor’s programs
•Enter a participating university with junior status after completing the pathway and gaining admission
•Consult the intended institution before transferring outside the Minnesota State system
