Application Logistics

Complete the Milligan admissions application

Complete the Performing Arts Scholarship application and choose Theatre Arts - Acting track

The first-time student application page lists no application fee

Eligibility

You do not need to declare a theatre major to be eligible for a theatre scholarship

Students receiving a theatre scholarship are required to be involved in the theatre program

Both non-majors and theatre majors are eligible

Important Notes

Milligan reviews first-time student applications on a rolling basis as long as space is available

Apply by December 1 for maximum scholarship and financial-aid consideration

Transfer Pathway

An eligible Tennessee community-college AA or AS satisfies most general education requirements. Theatre Performance concentration coursework remains; its audition and interview are for scholarship consideration.

What's The Process

Audition Process

An interview with theatre faculty is required for scholarship consideration to discuss past theatre experience and college goals

Theatre Performance applicants prepare two short monologues, one comedic and one dramatic

No fixed on-campus audition dates are currently published; contact the Admissions Office to schedule

Audition Expectations

If an in-person audition is not possible, applicants may submit a YouTube or other video-format link

Optional supporting video or audio material may be submitted by link or file upload

Competitive, renewable scholarship awarded to a limited number of students each year

Awarded to performers who exhibit excellent performance ability and potential, identified through audition
