Training
•BM in Professional Studies (MPRO) lets students work with an assigned faculty advisor, senior academic advisor, and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies to design a personalized program of study on top of the standard Frost performance core
•Built for students whose goals do not fit the school's more prescriptive degree tracks, letting them tailor electives to match diverse personal and professional goals and the shifting music industry
•Admission runs on the same principal-instrument/voice prescreen and audition (Classical, Jazz, or Contemporary) required of every other Frost Bachelor of Music applicant
Professional Development
•Nine credits of approved music electives in an emphasis area plus a broad elective block give students room to build toward a specific career goal within the music field
•Same Experiential Music Curriculum core, forums, and ensemble requirements as Frost's other Bachelor of Music tracks keep MPRO students inside the full performance community
Degree Flexibility
•A guidance committee (not a fixed emphasis) drives course selection, making MPRO the most individually customizable Bachelor of Music track at Frost
