Application Logistics
•Bullet: Submit the Common Application first and select Music Therapy as the Frost School of Music major
•Bullet: Allow five to seven business days for University of Miami to receive the application and open Applicant Portal access
•Bullet: Submit the Frost School of Music supplemental application and required uploads through the Applicant Portal
•Bullet: Early Action deadline: November 1 (approved applicants audition/interview in December)
•Bullet: Regular Decision and transfer priority deadline: December 1 (approved applicants audition/interview in February)
Admission Pathway
•Bullet: Degree carries a required minor in Psychology; curriculum is approved by the American Music Therapy Association and built on the Neurologic Music Therapy clinical/research model
•Bullet: Graduates are eligible to sit the Board Certification Exam for the Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC) credential
•Bullet: Minimum 2.5 GPA each semester is required to remain in the program, and music therapy core courses must be passed with a C or higher
