Training
•BM in Music Therapy with a required minor in Psychology, curriculum approved by the American Music Therapy Association and built on the Neurologic Music Therapy clinical/research model
•Graduates are eligible to sit the Board Certification Exam for the Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC) credential
•Beyond the principal-instrument audition, students must acquire functional competency on guitar, piano, voice, and percussion to support clinical practice across settings
Professional Development
•Music Therapy faculty interview every admitted-audition candidate on audition day, or by Zoom, before enrollment
•Internship placements require a written recommendation from a music therapy faculty member, connecting students to health-care and educational clinical sites
Degree Flexibility
•Program prepares graduates for both entry-level clinical practice and graduate study in music therapy
