Training
•Over 100 hours of supervised field experiences in urban, suburban, and rural schools before student teaching
•Clinical experiences in public schools begin in the first year and build sequentially
•One-on-one applied lessons each semester on your primary instrument or voice
•Senior half recital plus a full semester of supervised student teaching
•Capstone course preparing students for the job application and interview process
Performance & Ensembles
•Choral track students sing in Men’s Glee Club, Choraliers, or Chamber Singers each semester
•Opera, Concerto Competition, Jazz Ensemble, and Steel Band open to participants
•Conducting study plus choral literature and pedagogy coursework
