•Bachelor of Arts in Music — designed to study guitar within the context of a broader liberal arts program
•All degree programs accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music
•About 40% of required credits are in music, leaving room for a second major, minor, or broad elective study outside the School of Music
Training
•Eleven performance credits completed through keyboard skills and applied guitar lessons
•Weekly private lessons from the first semester, plus weekly studio classes
•Monthly recitals and semester-end juried examinations
•Senior project may be a recital, research paper, lecture-recital, conducting project, composition performance, or other dean-approved format — often interdisciplinary for students pursuing a double major
•Pedagogy and literature coursework specific to guitar
Performance & Productions
•Participation in at least one ensemble each semester, with most students performing in more than one
•Instrumental ensembles include the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Brass Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Harp Ensemble, and chamber groups
•Solo performance opportunities, main stage productions, and concert tours
•Fabian Concert Series performances alongside world-class musicians
