Training
•Bullet: The BA in Music develops theoretical understanding and technical proficiency through music theory, aural skills, class piano, music history, orchestration and arranging, and study across musical genres.
•Bullet: The degree requires at least 120 credits, including 39 advanced hours.
Performance
•Bullet: Music majors participate in an ensemble and attend recitals in each of eight semesters, making collaborative performance a continuous part of the degree.
•Bullet: Small classes and individual attention from professors support each student's progress as a musician.
Pathways
•Bullet: The combination of ear training, theory and performance can support work in composition, choral or instrumental direction, songwriting, production and other music fields.
