Conservatory-Style Training
•The BFA in Theatre is the focused professional degree within McMurry's theatre offerings, built around sustained study, practice, performance and production.
•Training can include acting, stagecraft, Production I, theatre and fine arts management, lighting and scenic design, playwriting and directing, with small classes and close faculty guidance.
Performance & Productions
•Students work in a department organized much like a nonprofit theatre company. Underclass students regularly perform, while upperclass students take responsibility for directing and designing full-length productions.
Capstone
•A culminating theatre capstone asks students to bring together creative, technical and production work developed across the degree.
