•Voice: prepare two art or folk songs in contrasting styles and, if possible, different languages.

•Brass and woodwinds: prepare two contrasting solo works or etudes showing lyrical and technical styles; also prepare a two-octave chromatic scale and several major scales.

•Percussion: prepare a solo work or etude on mallets, snare, and timpani.

•Keyboard: prepare two classical pieces from different musical eras.
