•Two contrasting works that demonstrate technical skill and musicianship
•Keyboards (Piano): two contrasting works from different compositional periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary)
•Keyboards (Organ): a standard organ repertoire work, two verses of a traditional hymn, and technique exercises on manuals and pedals
•Woodwinds & Brass: two 3-5 minute excerpts (one technical, one lyrical) from a concerto, sonata, or solo work
•Strings: two stylistically contrasting movements (technical and lyrical) from standard classical repertoire
•Acoustic Guitar: two stylistically contrasting solo pieces from standard classical repertoire
•Electric Bass Guitar: two contrasting jazz pieces (melody), plus an improvised bass line and bass solo
•Percussion: demonstrate proficiency on multiple instruments (snare drum solo, two-mallet keyboard solo, timpani solo)
Scales & Technique
•Woodwinds & Brass: major scales ascending and descending, multiple octaves when possible, with articulations chosen by the committee
•Strings: major and minor scales, two octaves
•Acoustic Guitar: major and minor scales (melodic minor form), two or three octaves
•Electric Bass Guitar: major and minor scales and arpeggios, two octaves
