Program Highlights

TRAINING

Develops techniques for script analysis, character creation, and collaboration

At least five theatre projects produced annually
Recent productions include Medea, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, and The Laramie Project

Hermann Fine Arts Center with Friederich Theater (approximately 200 seats)
Counterweight fly system, three full-stage wagons, orchestra pit, modern lighting and sound

THEATRE TALENT SCHOLARSHIPS

$1,500 to $5,000 per year ($6,000 to $20,000 total)
Open to all majors with demonstrated theatre talent
Priority given to applicants who apply before March 28

REQUIREMENTS

Full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic progress
Participation in one theatre production each semester
Complete Acting I, Backstage Experience, or Dance for Theatre during first year

ELIGIBILITY

One talent scholarship allowed per student across Art, Music, and Theatre departments
Recipients eligible for need-based assistance receive combined financial aid award
