•The BM Vocal Performance curriculum combines sustained applied voice with four semesters each of theory, keyboard skills, and aural skills
•Voice-specific study includes English/Italian and French/German diction, vocal literature, introductory and advanced vocal pedagogy, conducting, arranging, music history, and acting
Performance & Productions
•Eight ensemble credits, two semesters of Opera Workshop, and eight semesters of recital attendance make performance continuous across the degree
•Students present both a junior vocal recital and a senior vocal recital
Professional Development
•A supervised pedagogy practicum, Ethics in Music, and a Vocal Performance Capstone connect performing with teaching and professional practice
