Program Recognition
•MacEwan Department of Theatre offers two BFA majors: Music Theatre Performance and Theatre Production.
Training
•Theatre Production prepares students in lighting, sound, video, carpentry, costumes, props, stage management, scenic painting and scenic construction.
•Students apply classroom theory immediately through hands-on production assignments from the first term through final year.
Performance & Productions
•Students help produce the MacEwan University theatre season, including major productions and workshop performances.
Professional Development
•The major prepares students for live and recorded entertainment sectors as technicians, artisans, craftspersons and managers.
Facilities
•The program is housed in Allard Hall, with production work connected to MacEwan theatre spaces and public performance venues.

•Edmonton is home to more than 60 theatre companies and North America's first and biggest fringe festival.
