Audition Process
•Bullet: Audition on your principal instrument or voice, plus a required Music Education interview
•Bullet: In-person on campus during scheduled audition days, or by recorded video via the myLSU application portal
•Bullet: Recommended to film recorded auditions as one take (single video)
•Bullet: Recorded auditions given equal consideration after in-person dates pass
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Be prepared to discuss your musical experiences and reasons for pursuing a music education degree at LSU
•Bullet: Faculty are interested in why you want this degree now, your views on music teaching and learning, and why LSU
•Bullet: Optional: submit a 5-7 minute video to musicadmissions@lsu.edu (unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link) highlighting music-education-related skills, before completing your audition and interview
