Admission Process
•Audition on your principal instrument or voice, plus a required Music Education interview
•In-person on campus during scheduled audition days, or by recorded video via the myLSU application portal
•Recommended to film recorded auditions as one take (single video)
•Recorded auditions given equal consideration after in-person dates pass
Music Education Interview
•Be prepared to discuss your musical experiences and reasons for pursuing a music education degree at LSU
•Faculty are interested in why you want this degree now, your views on music teaching and learning, and why LSU
•Optional: submit a 5-7 minute video to musicadmissions@lsu.edu (unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link) highlighting music-education-related skills, before completing your audition and interview
