Songs

Three Contrasting Selections

Three contrasting selections from art song, aria, spiritual, or classical Broadway repertoire

One selection must be in a foreign language

Must be performed from memory

No jazz, pop, pop/Broadway, a cappella, or songs with lead sheets

Accompaniment

In-person auditions: bring a copy of sheet music for the accompanist

After submitting the university application, access to the Loyola Application Portal is sent within 24 hours

University and program-specific requirements must be complete before an admission decision is released

Important Notes

CMM applicants are evaluated for academic merit and artistic talent

Loyola awards the higher of merit or talent scholarship, not both

Audition Process

Classical voice applicants may audition on campus or through a virtual Zoom audition

Video submissions are not accepted for classical voice

In-person applicants must bring sheet music for the accompanist

The 2026–2027 CMM deadline and audition schedule have not been finalized; Loyola says specific dates will be announced in August 2026
