Eligibility

Open to incoming first-year and transfer students

Admission to the Dance major is by audition only

Enrollment

Students not initially accepted may re-audition the following spring

Many students focus on ballet technique during freshman year and join the major as sophomores

Admission Pathway

Current Dance minors may transfer into the major — contact Director of Dance to schedule a meeting

Transfer Pathway

Incoming transfer students may audition for direct entry to the BA Dance major. Loyola also publishes an enroll-then-audition pathway: current Dance minors can request a meeting with the Director of Dance to transfer into the major, and students who are not initially accepted may re-audition after further ballet study.

In-Person: Saturday, February 6, 2027 on Lakeshore Campus

Video: Submit application materials — Loyola's 2027-2028 audition page does not publish a specific video-submission deadline

Both options require a 2-minute solo video and personal statement via application
