Dance
IN-PERSON AUDITION
•Ballet and modern dance sequences taught during audition day
•Dress in form-fitting dance attire and appropriate dance shoes
VIDEO AUDITION
•Submit a BALLET FOUNDATIONS VIDEO
•Submit a 2-MINUTE SOLO VIDEO in any style
-Must be choreographed (by yourself or someone else)
-Any technique or style
-Maximum 2 minutes — only first 2 minutes will be reviewed if longer
PERSONAL STATEMENT
•Required for both in-person and video applicants
•Submitted as part of Submittable application

•Admission to the Dance major is contingent on university admission
AUDITION OPTIONS
•In-Person: Saturday, February 14, 2026 on Lakeshore Campus
•Video: Submit materials by March 1, 2026
•Both options require a 2-minute solo video and personal statement via application
RE-AUDITION
•Students not initially accepted may re-audition the following spring
•Many students focus on ballet technique during freshman year and join the major as sophomores
