Dance

Technique Class Assessment

•Three assessed classes: ballet, contemporary dance, and jazz dance

•Assessment evaluates current dance skills, practical knowledge, and understanding of technique

Afternoon Solos

•Opportunity to present dance solos

•Option to sing is available

Additional Materials

Headshot

•One recent head shot photo, head and shoulders

•One full-length dance photo in close-fitting dancewear

•Full-length dance photo must be portrait orientation with a plain background

Letters of Recommendation

•Two letters of recommendation: one academic reference and one dance reference

•Letters should be on school or organisation letterhead and signed

What's The Process

Audition Format

•One-day audition in two stages

•Morning: three assessed technique classes (ballet, contemporary, jazz)

•Afternoon: solo presentations and optional singing

Video Audition Alternative

•Available for applicants unable to attend in person

•In-person audition recommended where possible

•Submit via the LSC application portal (upload files or provide YouTube/Vimeo URL)

•Accepted formats: mp4, mov, or avi

Timeline

•Auditions run December to April of the year of entry

•Application forms must be received at least 7 days before the audition date

•Audition outcome communicated via email

•Successful applicants complete registration and pay GBP 500 deposit to secure their place
