Application Timeline

Submit prescreen materials by November 2 for early scholarship consideration and a November 14 audition.

Later prescreen deadlines are January 8, February 1, and February 15, 2027.

The current official page contains two apparent year-label errors: “Spring 26 Transfer Students” beside November 1, 2026 and “March 6, 2026” after the 2027 audition dates. Those ambiguous values are not carried into Fall 2027 picker rows.

What's The Process

Audition Process

Submit production prescreen materials through the Bison Portal as part of the School of Music application

Faculty review prescreen materials before inviting selected applicants to a live audition

Audition Expectations

Invited applicants audition on campus or by live Zoom

Audition lasts approximately 15 minutes and includes a short faculty interview

Production applicants perform a song and talk through an example of production work

Scholarship Info

Music Scholarships

Acceptance and scholarship decisions are based on the audition and conversation with faculty during the live audition

Final scholarship consideration materials are due February 1, 2027

Scholarship recipients participate in assigned ensembles or scholarship service teams and must maintain required GPA standards
