Audition Process
•Bullet: LIPA reviews the application and invites qualifying applicants to audition
•Bullet: UK applicants audition in person in Liverpool unless they request an online audition
•Bullet: Applicants outside the UK may audition virtually or at overseas events in South Korea, the USA, or Norway
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: In-person event includes registration, welcome, music theory test, building tour, and individual audition/interview
•Bullet: Solo audition and interview lasts about 30 minutes in person; online audition/interview lasts up to 50 minutes
•Bullet: Panel may ask questions about prepared pieces, studying at LIPA, and relevant music interests
•Bullet: May include short musical exercises or aural tests
Decisions
•Bullet: LIPA aims to communicate a decision within 10 working days
•Bullet: Applicants may be considered for other BA Music pathways during the audition process
