Audition Process
•LIPA reviews the application and invites qualifying applicants to audition
•UK applicants audition in person in Liverpool unless they request an online audition
•Applicants outside the UK may audition virtually or at overseas events in South Korea, the USA, or Norway
Audition Expectations
•In-person event includes registration, welcome, music theory test, building tour, and individual audition/interview
•Solo audition and interview lasts about 30 minutes in person; online audition/interview lasts up to 50 minutes
•Panel may ask questions about prepared pieces, studying at LIPA, and relevant music interests
•May include short musical exercises or aural tests
Decisions
•LIPA aims to communicate a decision within 10 working days
•Applicants may be considered for other BA Music pathways during the audition process
