•48-credit major with musicianship, keyboard skills, music history and culture, ensemble participation, applied lessons, and upper-level electives
•Coursework includes Music and Technology, lyric diction, songwriting, conducting, orchestration, vocal pedagogy, and Broadway musical history
•Students may pursue Oregon Preliminary Teaching Licensure in Music by pairing the Music major with Secondary Education with Licensure
Performance & Productions
•Ensemble options include Concert Band, Jazz Choir, Jazz Band, Instrumental Performance Ensemble, Chamber Ensembles, Concert Choir, Opera Theatre, and Linfield Collaborative Music Ensemble
•Music majors take applied lessons for at least four semesters and participate in major ensembles
•Applied-study juries and repertoire classes support performance development
Professional Development
•Senior capstone may be a thesis, recital, senior project, composition portfolio, lecture-recital, or interdisciplinary project
