Audition Process
•In-person audition preferred; online audition also available
•Staff accompanist provided for in-person performance auditions
Audition Expectations
•Prepare at least one of the following options:
-A performance on your primary instrument demonstrating musical ability
-A recorded example of your work that you have produced, edited, or mixed
-A composition (arranged or original) demonstrating musical and technical skill using a music notation program
•Interview with faculty about your interest in the music industry, your current musical interests, your ideal career, and your awareness of the current music industry
•Audition Day: 8:00-8:30 AM arrival, 8:30-10:10 AM auditions, 10:10 AM-12:40 PM sessions (music business, building tour, faculty meet, lunch), 1:00-2:00 PM ensemble rehearsal
