What's The Process

Admission Pathway

The School of Music does not require a separate application process from general admission.

Each incoming School of Music student must complete a vocal or instrumental placement audition on their primary instrument.

The placement audition does not by itself secure entrance into a music degree program; continuation is determined through Sophomore Review.

Performance students must pass a special audition to enter upper-level training.

Audition Format

Placement auditions may be completed in person or by video submission.

In-person auditions are scheduled with College For A Weekend dates by contacting the School of Music.

Video auditions are submitted through the School of Music Video Placement Audition form.

New Student Scholarship

Complete a School of Music Placement Audition.

Submit the New Student Scholarship application by February 28, 2026.

Students may still complete the placement audition after the scholarship deadline, but they will not be eligible for new student scholarship consideration.
