•Maximum two minutes per speech
•Speeches should contrast in style, language, emotion, character, or tone
•Classical verse (Shakespeare, Elizabethan, Jacobean, Greek) provides an immediate contrast with a modern play
•Choose material that suits you and that you enjoy performing
•Know the full source play, not just the excerpt
•Introduce each speech at the beginning of the video or save the title and character in the file name
Material Selection
•Choose a role you can imagine yourself playing
•May use speeches from monologue books, but read the whole play for context
•Self-written material may be submitted as an additional file, but two published-text speeches are still required
•Perform in your native accent unless an accent is essential to the speech
•All speeches must be fully memorised
