•Bullet: Journalism Emphasis students train as multimedia journalists, crafting information and visuals to inform the public and using media to influence culture positively.
•Bullet: Coursework prepares graduates for roles such as reporter, copy editor, editor, digital content creator, photographer, print journalist, television reporter and social media manager, and a Christianity and Media capstone connects the major to the university's core values.
Professional Development
•Bullet: Students can work on Lee's award-winning Clarion student newspaper, the Vindagua yearbook, the Lee Update morning announcement show and the Story of My Life podcast, with paid and scholarship editor positions available each semester.
•Bullet: Internships with outlets such as the Cleveland Daily Banner, Chattanooga Times Free Press and broadcasters WCLE, WDEF, WRCBTV, WTCI and WTVC are of special interest to journalism students, alongside membership in the Society for Collegiate Journalists.
