Audition Requirements

Dance

One Self-Choreographed Solo

•1 minute maximum

•Can be performed with or without music

•Presented during the Admissions Workshop

Additional Materials

Headshot

•Upload a headshot-style photo for identification during the Admission Workshop

Essay / Statement

•Describe dance, performance, teaching, and/or choreographic experience (250 words maximum)

•Describe other relevant activities, employment, or voluntary roles (250 words maximum)

•Answer four short prompts on studying dance, choosing the LCDS/LASALLE international programme, course expectations, and post-graduation goals (150 words maximum each)

Recommendation

•Provide contact details for one academic referee and one dance-related referee; the schools contact them for character references

Good to Know

Application Status

•The live course page still labels September 2026 entry as open and gives a 31 March 2026 deadline

•The linked form remains available and says applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, but its April and May 2026 workshop options are expired; confirm late availability directly with LCDS

Application Logistics

•Apply directly through the LCDS course application; UCAS is not required

•LCDS does not charge an application or audition fee

Entry Requirements

•Singapore applicants: two Singapore-Cambridge A Level/H2 subjects plus General Paper, a relevant Polytechnic Diploma, or an International Baccalaureate Diploma

•Other international applicants: A Level or equivalent qualification from their country

•IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80

What's The Process

Audition Process

•Complete the online application form, selecting a date and location for your workshop

•Workshop includes a technique class (ballet, contemporary, and/or street dance) followed by an improvisation class

•Present a 1-minute self-choreographed solo (with or without music)

•Interview conducted at the end of the workshop

•Online session available for international applicants unable to attend in person

•Discuss your audition piece, inspirations, and influences

•Share how the programme will help your future career choices

•Outcome communicated via email approximately two weeks after the workshop
