Repertoire list (required)
•A Bach prelude and fugue, or another Bach work containing a fugue (such as a toccata or partita)
•One sonata-allegro movement from a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, or Schubert (usually the first movement)
•Two additional pieces showing stylistic diversity and considerable experience at the instrument
•Memorization is preferred but not required for standard repertoire
•Encouraged: a work by a composer from an underrepresented group and/or written in the last fifty years
Letters of recommendation (required)
•One required from a private lesson teacher, general music teacher, or ensemble director, speaking to your musical abilities
•Additional academic references may be submitted if desired
Resume (optional)
•Optional music résumé detailing experience, achievements, and training
•Upload with your application or later through the application status portal
Video
•Required for recorded auditions: a short, informal introductory video addressing:
-What draws you to study music at the Lawrence Conservatory
-What you love most about playing piano and where you hope music takes you in the next 10 years
-What qualities, musical and otherwise, you would bring to the Conservatory community
