Audition Process
•Bullet: Students must first apply to and be accepted by Lancaster Bible College
•Bullet: Then audition for acceptance into the BA Worship Arts program
•Bullet: Audition also determines department scholarship awards
•Bullet: Music Theory Assessment required at audition (for course placement only)
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: In-person auditions at Good Shepherd Chapel, 8am to 2pm
•Bullet: Virtual audition available upon request
•Bullet: If unable to attend a scheduled day, contact the department to arrange an individual audition
•Bullet: Vocalists prepare two contrasting selections (see Songs); one should suit a corporate worship context
•Bullet: Instrumentalists may audition on a primary instrument (piano, guitar, other instrument, or percussion) instead of voice, preparing two contrasting selections, one usable in a corporate worship context
•Bullet: Instrumentalists should also demonstrate basic vocal ability and/or keyboard ability
•Bullet: Vocalists evaluated on tonal quality, pitch perception, stylistic sense, sight singing, and rhythm
