Audition Process
•Students must first apply to and be accepted by Lancaster Bible College
•Then audition for acceptance into the BA Worship Arts program
•Audition also determines department scholarship awards
•Music Theory Assessment required at audition (for course placement only)
Audition Expectations
•In-person auditions at Good Shepherd Chapel, 8am to 2pm
•Virtual audition available upon request
•If unable to attend a scheduled day, contact the department to arrange an individual audition
Audition Format
•Vocalists prepare two contrasting selections (see Songs); one should suit a corporate worship context
•Instrumentalists may audition on a primary instrument (piano, guitar, other instrument, or percussion) instead of voice, preparing two contrasting selections, one usable in a corporate worship context
•Instrumentalists should also demonstrate basic vocal ability and/or keyboard ability
•Vocalists evaluated on tonal quality, pitch perception, stylistic sense, sight singing, and rhythm
