Program Requirements

Music Theory and Piano Placement Exams available (not required, do not affect admission)

Composition portfolio inquiries are directed to the Associate Professor of Composition

What's The Process

Portfolio Review

Admission to the composition major is based on a review of the submitted portfolio of original works

Portfolios may be mailed or submitted to the Associate Professor of Composition

Scholarship Auditions

Separate auditions are held for band, orchestra, or chorus scholarship consideration

Auditions take place on a scheduled Audition Day or by video for distant students

Decisions

Audition and admission results sent by email within 10-14 days
