What's The Process

Scholarship Audition

•Audition is for scholarship consideration and is not required for admission

•Perform one or two prepared pieces

•Sight-reading scales and technique assessment

•Vocalists complete an aural-skills assessment for ensemble placement

•Theory and/or piano placement exam may be given for course placement

Scheduling

•The published 2025-2026 audition dates have passed; use the VPA audition application or contact Performing Arts to confirm current availability

•Additional audition times are available on an as-needed basis

•Remote auditions available via Zoom

•Schedule via the VPA audition application form

Results

•Audition results communicated within one week
