What's The Process

Audition Process

Theatre Arts scholarship auditions are scheduled through the department

First-year students are eligible to audition and be cast their first semester

On-campus visits may include a campus tour, sitting in on classes, and a meal with current majors

Actors prepare two contrasting monologues; actor/singers add two songs

All students bring a resume

Post-Enrollment

All majors and intended majors audition for each departmental production

Formal, closed auditions require two contrasting pieces not to exceed two minutes total

Directors post specific requirements before each audition; callbacks typically follow immediately

Students not cast are assigned production roles such as stage management, run crew, properties, costumes, sound, house management, or publicity
