Application Logistics

Apply to Lafayette through Common App; admission to the Theater A.B. program does not require a separate audition, portfolio, or interview

After submitting the admission application, use the Lafayette portal's Supplemental Arts Portfolio form; links must be accessible to Lafayette reviewers

Optional arts portfolio deadlines: Early Decision I by November 5; Early Decision II and Regular Decision by January 15

Theater applicants may submit a design/technical portfolio, a performance video of no more than five minutes highlighting scenes and monologues, or directing scenes; the arts portfolio is optional

CaPA Scholars Program application is due January 15 after applying; submit discipline materials as instructed

Test optional for students applying for fall 2027 and fall 2028

Lafayette sends portal credentials in the 'Next Steps' email within 36 hours of the admission application
