Training
•The 11-course film major combines film history and genre study with production, screenwriting and critical analysis
•Required foundations include FILM 111 plus DRAM 111 or FILM 112, two film-genre courses and at least three production courses
•Production options include screenwriting, cinematography, directing, documentary work and post-production
Professional Development
•Students complete FILM 480 Senior Seminar in Film and develop capstone work with faculty and their senior cohort
•The department's stage-and-screen model supports collaboration with drama, dance and other College departments
•Kenyon L.A. offers selected rising juniors and seniors screenwriting work and entertainment-industry career exploration
Degree Flexibility
•Three electives are selected with a faculty adviser, including no more than two approved courses outside the department
•Transfer or off-campus film courses are generally treated as electives and require consultation with film faculty
