•Housed in the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music, an All-Steinway School that presents nearly 200 concerts, recitals, and events each year
Training
•15-credit minor built around Music as a World Phenomenon plus 12 credit hours of electives drawn from music theory, applied music, piano class, jazz, world music, and music history/literature courses
•Six of the elective credit hours must be upper-division (30000/40000-level) coursework
•Offered at both the Kent Campus and the Stark Campus
•Coordinated by Gerrey Noh
Performance & Productions
•Elective credit can be earned through ensembles including University Chorus, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Music, and the Kent State University Gospel Choir
•Students with a solo performance focus complete a program/scholarship audition to access applied lessons and select ensembles
Degree Flexibility
•Open to students in any bachelor’s, AAB, AAS, or ATS degree; students may not pair the minor with a major in the same discipline
