•12-credit minor built around Jazz Improvisation I, Jazz Styles and Analysis, and two semesters of Jazz Ensemble or Nova Jazz Singers, plus electives such as Jazz Composing and Arranging, Jazz Improvisation II, History of Jazz, and Jazz Combo Development
•Open to instrumentalists and vocalists — admission is by program/scholarship audition in the applicant’s performance medium
•Coordinated by saxophonist and educator Bobby Selvaggio
Performance & Productions
•Ensemble options include the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo Development, and the Nova Jazz Singers vocal jazz ensemble
Degree Flexibility
•Supplements a bachelor’s, AAB, AAS, or ATS degree in another discipline; students may not pair the minor with a major in the same discipline
