•Bullet: The Commercial Dance Certificate requires 14 credit hours: DANC 3240 Commercial Dance (2 credit hours) plus 12 elective hours chosen from jazz, tap, hip-hop, and musical theatre dance courses (Jazz Dance: Styles I-IV, Tap Dance Technique I-III, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre Dance: Styles I-II, Contemporary Partnering) alongside TPS 2202 Introduction to Acting.
•Bullet: The program targets careers in the commercial entertainment industries, including television, film, music videos, and live performance events, building performance skills, versatility, and industry readiness across multiple dance styles rather than a single technique.
Degree Flexibility
•Bullet: This stand-alone certificate is designed for students seeking dance training outside of the BA in Dance degree program, and admission follows Kennesaw State University's general admission standards rather than a departmental application, portfolio, or audition.
•Bullet: Housed within the Department of Dance at the Robert S. Geer Family College of the Arts, the certificate lets students build a focused commercial-dance credential without committing to KSU's audition-based BA Dance major.
