Training
•Fundamental training in acting, voice (solo and group singing), dance, music theory, and musical theatre history
•Specialized coursework in audition techniques and various musical theatre genres
•12 concentration credit hours including MT Techniques, Music Theory for MT, Acting in MT, MT Dance, and MT History/Literature
Performance & Productions
•Annual musical productions (sometimes two per season)
•Spring Musical Theatre Showcase to perform best work of the year
•All MT concentration majors required to participate in seasonal auditions each semester

•Reyanna Edwards ('24) — cast member on national tour of Ain't Too Proud (role: Johnnie Mae); performed at 54 Below and Virginia Theatre Festival
