No audition is required for program admission

Minimum 3.0 GPA required for freshmen, transfers, and current KSU students changing majors

What's The Process

Audition Process

Production auditions are separate from program admission

Musical Theatre concentration students are required to participate in season auditions each semester

Rehearsal schedules are provided at auditions

Audition Expectations

Prepare one monologue plus 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song

Bring piano/vocal sheet music in the correct key

Complete audition must stay within the 90-second limit

Scholarship Info

Departmental Merit Scholarships

8-10 Merit Scholarships awarded to returning majors each spring for the following academic year.

Evaluated by the Department's Scholarship Committee.

Criteria: GPA, community service, application essay, and service to the Department.

Separate from need-based financial aid.

Incoming first-year and transfer students may apply for university-wide scholarships after admission.
